Mike Watson, CPA

With over a decade of experience spanning the full spectrum of the accounting profession, including tax and audit for high net worth clientele, Mike brings a uniquely diverse perspective to Matthias Private Wealth. His journey began in tax at a small accounting firm, then transitioned to audit at a mid-sized firm specializing in higher education institutions with a focus on data analytics. Most recently, Mike leveraged his tax and audit background at a Big Four Firm where he served on the Banking and Capital Markets team, working with some of the world’s leading financial institutions.

Throughout his career, Mike has lead teams which have consistently delivered thoughtful, creative solutions tailored to the distinct needs of his clients—from small family-owned businesses to ultra-high-net-worth individuals to global financial corporations. Mike’s leadership and ability to adapt and innovate across varied financial landscapes allows him to join the firm with a clear mission: to leverage his leadership and broad experience to enhance the firm’s integrated service model, offering our families seamless access to a wide range of integrated financial services—all under one roof.

A native of Ocoee, Florida, Mike grew up playing baseball and football and remains a passionate Florida Gators fan. His favorite way to spend a fall Saturday is surrounded by family and friends, enjoying good company and great football.
